Dosage of Fortuna Vitae in general:

Adults 10 ml daily = 1 tablespoon, preferably in the morning (5 ml contains 100 micrograms of iodine, which represents 67% of the NRV of the recommended daily allowance for adults). Children from 3 to 12 years, 3 ml.

Dosage of Fortuna Vitae in case of thyroid hormone use:

When taking synthetic hormones, that affect thyroid function, it is possible to start their gradual reduction until complete discontinuation. In principle: as soon as you start taking Fortuna Vitae, it is recommended to reduce your hormone dose by 25 μg. The adjustment of the thyroid function is individual for each, we will be happy to advise you free of charge.

Do not use Fortuna Vitae when taking blood on an empty stomach.

Before CT, MRI, X-ray examination, it is recommended to use 3 x 10 ml Fortuna Vitae the day before and after the examination.

Recommended dosage for increased radiation:

  • 2 days 4 x 10 ml during the day
  • 2 days 3 x 10 ml
  • 3 days 2 x 10 ml
  • then continue 1 x 10 ml in the morning

Storage:

  • During treatment, if taken daily, the bottle is sufficient for max. 1 month - does not have to be in the refrigerator is enough in a dark place, the temperature is around 20 ° C.
  • If it is used sporadically to replenish iodine reserves and before examinations, we then have the bottle in the refrigerator for 3-4 months.
